How do you get listed for the other search engines like Dog Pile or Ask?  What does it take to get listed?

I know that you can submit your URl to get your site listed, but you don’t actually have to do this because they will crawl your site if you have lots of entries.  So, you got to work on those contents.

Ah so content is very important then.  Updating content and writing new content should be focussed on.  Would you say that content is the most important part of the website compared with anything else.  Certainly if search engines crawl content then it seems that this would make your website successful.

I don’t really know what Dog Pile is but I noticed that they are sending me some free traffics.  I never even bothered to submit my site on them.  This just means that my content has been crawled by their bots.

Yes, content is very important. It's not necessarily the 'most' important, but it's certainly way up there.

Oops, double post. So I'll just add that yes, various search engines will crawl your site on their own, but by adding yourself to them manually, you can get listed sooner.

Just add frequent entries to your site and you will eventually find out that your site is getting some free traffic from other search engines.
