You must work out what your market is if you have a market in the UK it is no good having a domain as .com you would want the domain as .co.uk so that people know you are operating from the UK.
A TLD stands for top – level – domain. This is the part of the domain that comes last. It is the letters that come after the final dot of any domain name.
Domain names are not case sensitive. You have names like aero, asia,. biz, cat, com, coop, the list is long and extensive. Understanding the TLD is an important part of understanding your website and who it caters for. Each TLD includes many second-level domains. Obviously if you had a Chinese website you wouldn’t want an English TLD.
