i was just wondering if you think it is possible to get good worthwhile results by doing your own seo campaign or if the only really sucessful option is to pay a company to run the campaign for you?

It depends if you have the experience then save money and do it yourself however if you have no or little experience then you get what you pay for.  So my advice is go with someone very experienced better still if you know of someone who could do this or know of someone who could recommend someone to you then do it that way.  At the end of the day like website design you get what you pay for.

If you are going to sell some product on your site then you would probably better if you would set up your campaign.

If you are just going to monetize your site with participants then it would be best if you would do your daily SEO.

I agree although I think I would prefer doing it myself.  Don't you find then when you hire someone else to do it for you, you don't know if you can trust them.  At least when you do it yourself you know what you are doing.

I think if you learn everything you can and really work at it, then yes, you can do it yourself. You can't expect professional results if you don't have any experience or don't put out the effort, though.

I agree with Kitten if you don't know how to do it, it is best to go with a professional because they know what they are doing.  If you really want to do it yourself then consider taking a course.  There are a lot of courses available at Open University and you can even get help towards the costs in certain situations.

Another thing that I’m thinking is to buy some services from companies if you have the money because this is a tiring work.  I don’t think that busy people can do this.  You can also do a lot of things while someone is doing it for you.

That's a good point, choco. If you have the money to invest then you might as well because that time can be spent doing other things to improve your site.

Yeah, I would say it really depends on your circumstances. If you have money, do some research and find the company that best suits your needs. Some are more experienced with eCommerce websites, others just strictly static websites, Flash, and still others are successful with all varieties.

Learning SEO on your own is not that difficult, but doing it yourself and all the maintenance to maintain your results can be time consuming. I learned SEO on the fly, first by reading a book as I had never heard of it, and then by the Web company that hired me. I turned out to be rather good at it as it caters to my skill set, but it is not that way for everyone.

Either way, do some research so you know what it is you need done, and what you want to accomplish. There are quite a few scams out there that sucker people into forking over thousands of dollars for nothing.

Do your research. And good luck!

Right now I’m thinking of creating another blog and then I would hire services of paid to blog sites to buzz my blog.  That way my site would become known in the blogging world easily.
