The team members of Slingshot SEO have been practicing web design, programming and search engine optimization for over 8 years. We started before there was a Google and before anyone knew what SEO was. It all started in high school with a web site about Dodge Vipers. One of my best friends started this Dodge Viper site off of his AOL account. After tinkering with keywords and meta tags he found that he could achieve better rankings on Yahoo. Yahoo was everything when we were in high school and first page search engine ranking was a money making achievement. We used affiliate sites such as commission junction to place ads on our sites, with some websites making as much as $2400/mo. off of ads alone. We made a futile attempt to start a web design company called 'Dreamworks Interactive Web Design'. We knew little about running a business or how to sell ourselves. After a few weeks we gave up on the idea and went our separate ways.

Fast forward to today after we've all been through college, earned our stripes working at various companies, and matured. We used our web development skills to help the companies we worked for and make a little extra on the side. Now we have combined our web skills to form a potent team intently focused on providing local businesses with a major competitive advantage. We are constantly learning to stay on the cutting edge of tomorrow's search engine optimization, graphic design, and dynamic web user interfaces. We create websites that drive sales, demand an audience, and save time for our clients.

We've had a few emails asking what areas we serve and where we're from. In case you couldn't tell from our footer and contact pages we're based out of Zionsville, Indiana. Our goals are to serve Zionsville, Carmel, Noblesville, Westfield, Indianapolis, and other surrounding suburbs. We can do work for anyone in the world, but we enjoy working with our clients face to face. We don't work out of our houses. Our new office in Zionsville provides a great atmosphere for full time web development and Search Engine Optimization. When feasable, we enjoy having our clients in to discuss design, color theory, and results in real time.

Wow! This seems like a lot of really good information. If this is your profession then why do you tell all your SEO secrets? It seems like you would want to keep this stuff about search engine optimization to yourself.

Trust me, I don't reveal everything on this forum. We are a full service web development company. If you've found it on the web, then we can do it. I like to educate my customers and prospects so that they understand some of what goes into Search Engine Optimization. This knowledge can help any company, large or small, product driven or service driven. We can offer flash animation, logo development, color theory, quick loading CSS development, dynamic PHP, Java script, AJAX development, and much more.

You are right admin, teaching your clients a bit will greatly benefit towards gaining trust for the long run and it also become helpful for the clients to understand many semi technical aspects without going into details if clients knows some little knowledge about the subject matter.

Eria... I have a bag of SEO tricks, but if I know you'll be able to find the answers on the web anyway, I'm willing to save members and customers some time by answering SEO questions.

I gave one large corporation some tips and they ran off thinking I gave them the Holy Grail.

A couple other local marketing firms have tried to pick my brain, but I've begun to realize that they were just trying to start their own SEO division.  Wow, if only it were that easy.

At the end of the day I just let our results speak for themselves.  Our team here at Slingshot SEO delivers results for every client.  We compete for national terms and phrases that actually get search traffic.

We're not THAT big yet. I would still consider us young and hungry, but the SEO / Internet marketing industry is young. We have some very substantial clients that are near completion and you will soon see on our 'Client Results' page.

I get excited to be around people who have such an interest when it comes to SEO. I have been researching and trying to learn this stuff for a while now and I find it more than just fun but invigoranting.

I agree, it is a very interesting subject.  I had never heard of it SEO before when I started researching marketing on the Internet.  Now my eyes are wide open and I'm acting like a sponge and soaking it all.  It's great to have a place like this to go to get questions answered.

I've heard of SEO for a while now, but I've always kind of dreaded going out and actually doing if for myself.  This is a great site for info though!

I've been coming here for over a month now and I have gotten some good ideas.  The problem I am finding now is that nobody is really replying except for one or two people.  What seems to be the problem?  Is everybody just too busy to answer questions?  I want to learn!

There seem to have been plenty of replies from what i've seen, it's just a case of waiting for them. People are busy and they all have things to do, especially the staff who have to work. Be patient and you'll learn.
