I read a post on another board extolling the virtues of mobile feeds.  The author said they had experienced a huge increase in linking activity from their mobile activities.

Is anyone here marketing to the mobile market?

The post I read talked about a 35% rise in traffic, which seems pretty substantial to me.  Information wasn't included about the age of the site, or its niche, though.

What is mobile feed? I'm not even going to act like I know what it is because I don't. I tried to google it but I couldn't find anything.

Apparently this webmaster was advertising through feeds...xml or rss I guess, and it brought more traffic to their site.

Havent heard about this either. Do people actually use their mobiles for checking out other people's websites? I didnt think so. I thought they used it only for really important stuff, like email, etc.

With the advent of the iPhone and Blackberry, many people view the internet while away from a desktop or laptop.  How could you not have heard of this way of accessing the internet?

In the past Tag, your post was very true however now that's beginning to charge. IPhone, Ipod Touch, Blackberry. These are all "mobile" devices and yet their beginning to function much like mini-computers. Mobile internet is really spreading these days and it's a market that's yet to be really tapped in to.

Mobile phone users basically used this device for internet purpose and and follow the ads on their cell responds to the ads.So I feel that mobile ads is becoming popular day by day.

Nope, that's a market I haven't entered at all and I'm not sure I'll even consider it any time soon. I suppose for some that it'd be a really good area to start focusing on, though.

It really depends on what you're doing, there is some great mobile business for certain nichés but other things are just never going to make it to mobile really. The mobile net world is dominated by youth.

Yeah the mobile world isn't the bee all and end all of everything.  It's a bit old hat really.  Even if someone had success with linking activity from their mobile activities, it doesn't mean that's the right way. You have to find the right way for you and not everyone's going to agree.  What's right for one person isn't necessarily right for another.
