so if the main domain has an alexa ranking of, let's say, 23000, all her other subdomains will get the same alexa rank of 23000, too, right?
or am i just mistaken?

blogger ranks #12 in alexa, and most blogs hosted on it have an alexa ranking of 12, too.
MOST, but NOT all, coz im seeing some exemptions to the rule.

how is this possible?

It makes sense to set subdomains with the single rank for the top level.  They are still part of the top level domain.

Yeah, I think it's probably just glitches within Alexa that allow others to not be ranked up there.  They should probably all be, as they're all part of the same ranked domain name.

One of my blog shows ranking to be 12 while other blogs shows 12000 some figure, what does this really imply?? I wasn't able to know how ranking works.

I don't know what your figures mean. Many developers disregard Alexa stats because their accuracy isn't reliable.  At least, that is what I have heard.

I use Hittail.com to know the perfect keywords that really brought up the my blogs on the google search engines. I checked out about Alexa online, many had to say the same thing that the stats are not accurate.

It is a free service SageMother. I have been using it for a while now and it is helpful to me, providing good keywords for my blogs.
