In my opinion about 80% of what we call Search Engine Optimization is clearly explained by Google for anyone that wants to read it. Of course we each have a few little tricks up our sleeves that can help insure better ranking in search engines, but Google offers insight about it's intent. They offer a few key tips...

1. Create good content
2. Have other relevant sites link to yours
3. Google doesn't read images (but they read alt tags)
4. Use robot tags to direct Search bots
5. and other tips...

If you follow these simple tips then you can expect some decent search engine rankings and traffic. This also makes it easier for a SEO specialist to finish the job and push you to that number one spot on Google, Yahoo, and MSN. It always helps us when we have a good foundation to work from. So, although Google doesn't directly spell it out for us, I give them a thumbs up for pointing us in the right direction.

There are certain sites that Google will never accept to the Adsense program, and there are some that are currently acceptable but will soon be sifted out as Google's continues adjusting their algorithm to preserve their profit margins.

What types of sites do you think will soon be excluded from the Adsense program?

In my opinion, proxy sites won't get approved for adsense in near and dear future because Google is banning proxy sites too fast nowadays

What about those directories that claim good PR's based on Google stats?  Do you think their being pages of links without content will knock them out of the running?

I'd be surprised if they actually showed up high in the search results.  Most directories simply don't get up too high in the standings.

well, if the directory presents good links and avoid any spam linkages into their pages and as for as the links are related to the niche and in proper structure; there is no risk involved for any search engine penalty.

How can there be no risk of penalties if the basic content consists of columns of links and no articles or information?

does google allow adsense on porn sites?

I seriously doubt that Google allows porn sites.  But, I bet there are search serving that niche, and places like Adbrite and similar advertising sites have adult sites one can choose to advertise on.

So many ad programs shun porn that you have to have a separate site to link into porn directories and engines separately.
