Jeremy Dearringer is co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Slingshot SEO. A Purdue University graduate, Jeremy launched his entrepreneurial pursuits by developing several e-commerce shopping sites offering products ranging from silk plants to motorcycle parts. During that time, he also built one of the largest online motorcycle community forums and a number of blogs to generate affiliate ad revenue and support his e-commerce ventures. These successes, starting during his high school years, have given Jeremy in excess of 13 years of experience in search engine optimization, keyword research, link building, web design, conversion rate optimization, social media, management and logistics.
In 1997, Jeremy and his current business partners used their knowledge of SEO to build ad revenue generating websites and real estate websites. Their expertise and teamwork also leveraged his family’s business, one of their main clients, into a period of explosive growth during a recession. The business partners’ foundation of knowledge and passion for SEO led them to form Slingshot SEO in 2006.
Kevin is co-founder and Chief Strategy Officer at Slingshot SEO. An Indiana University graduate, Kevin has more than fourteen years of Internet marketing experience involving organic search engine optimization, eCommerce, conversion rate analysis, statistical analysis, affiliate marketing and web design.
Prior to co-founding Slingshot SEO, Kevin spent two years working within the technology related intellectual property strategy practice of CRA International, a publicly traded consulting firm in Chicago, Illinois.
Kevin’s core responsibility at Slingshot SEO is to manage the company’s overall strategic objectives while also spending time on the sales side building new client relationships. He is responsible for finance, conversion rate analysis research & development and statistical analysis.
Steve Shepard is the Vice President of Finance at DigitalRelevance, Inc. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Saint Michael’s College in Colchester, Vermont and a Master of Business Administration from Suffolk University in Boston, Massachusetts. Steve is also a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
Prior to joining DigitalRelevance, Steve spent seven years as Director of Accounting Operations at Consona Corporation, formerly known as Made2Manage Systems, Inc. There, Steve was responsible for managing the Accounting Operations group through a period of rapid growth. Specifically, Steve played a key role in integrating 15 acquisitions from 2006 through 2013. Steve also served in Senior Finance roles at Arbor Networks, GE and EC Cubed.
As Vice President of Client Solutions & Success for DigitalRelevance and Slingshot SEO, Marty Muse serves as an industry leader driving effective content marketing solutions for DigitalRelevance, Inc. and its clients. Since joining the company in February of 2011, Marty has successfully directed $1m+ inbound marketing campaigns for several national and international Fortune clients. A 15-year digital marketing veteran and frequent speaker, Marty came to DigitalRelevance from Aptean—formally known as Consona—a global leader in enterprise application software, where he was Director of Digital Marketing, driving demand generation and contributed directly to propelling revenue from $40 million to $125 million.
Phil is our VP of Services. He first “logged on” to the Internet in ’87, queried Google in ’99 and graduated from Marian University in 2006 with a BA in Communication. Since then, he has delivered fine potato chips for Mike-Sell’s, done tech and web stuff for the Indianapolis Museum of Art and toured with an Italian punk band. Phil started at Slingshot SEO in 2010 as a Senior Consultant and held manager and director positions before his current role overseeing DigitalRelevance’s Consulting, Creative, Outreach and Software Development departments. When’s he’s not VP-ing, Phil can either be found booking a flight to foreign land, like Turkey or Japan, or strumming country songs to the lake outside his bedroom window.
Chad Pollitt is the VP of Marketing at Slingshot SEO. He holds a BS in Entrepreneurship from the Indiana University Kelley School of Business, an Internet Marketing Masters Certification from the University of San Francisco’s prestigious School of Business and Management and is a Certified HubSpot Partner.
Chad is a decorated veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom and a former Army National Guard Commander. He authored “51 Things Your Mother Taught You About Inbound Marketing” in 2014. His other writings and articles have been published in dozens of newspapers, magazines and websites throughout the world. Prior to joining Slingshot SEO, Chad served as the Director of Inbound Marketing at Kuno Creative.
