The candidate in this position will actively participate in a wide variety of social media networking such as blogging, social bookmarking and forum discussions for the purposes of search engine optimization. The candidate must have above average grammar skills and the ability to think creatively and strategically. Your core responsibility will be external Search Engine Optimization or link building. The candidate must have a personal computer and high speed internet connection.
Duties and Responsibilities – the key responsibilities for this position include (but are not limited to):
- Researching and acquiring legitimate and credible links for clients
- Creating quality, relevant blog and forum posts related to clients
- Social media and networking
Experience – the ideal candidate must have experience in the following areas (training will be provided):
- Online media tools, networking and techniques (Facebook, Twitter, MySpace, Digg, etc.)
- Web based media technology
Characteristics – the key characteristics for this position include the following:
- Self motivated and strong work ethics
- Copywriting skills are a plus
- Ability to quickly adapt to new responsibilities
- Proficient written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in scanning and searching the web
- Creativity, perseverance and determination
- Willingness to experiment and learn new tools
- Ability to deal with uncertainty and ambiguity
- Ability to sort through and understand large amounts of data
- Sense of humor
- Basic understanding of HTML and web programming language is a plus
Compensation:
As an independent contractor, a Social Media Networker can typically average between $10.00 – $50.00 per hour depending upon your performance and output. Future growth opportunities are available with top performers making as much as $80.00 per hour.
