Indianapolis, August 15, 2011- Slingshot SEO, the company dedicated to providing digital relevance for deserving brands, has named tech veteran Don Kane as Chief Operating Officer.
Kane’s appointment follows last week’s announcement of Jay Love as Slingshot SEO’s CEO.
“Adding Don to our team adds a depth of experience in a variety of key areas, including business analysis, market analysis, product marketing and product management,” said Kevin Bailey, President and co-founder of Slingshot SEO. “We feel our executive team is now in place to lead Slingshot SEO to the next level of growth and performance.”
Kane explained his decision to join the growing digital marketing firm. “I’m thrilled with the opportunity to join one of the country’s leading SEO firms. Slingshot SEO has a high-energy environment with great people, and I’m eager to get started and help shape the future.”
Kane most recently served as Chief Product Manager for vCloud at BlueLock, and served for 10 years as VP/Product Manager at integrated marketing software leader Aprimo. His previous work experience includes roles at Software Artistry/Tivoli Systems, Eli Lilly & Co. and EDS.
Slingshot SEO was founded in 2006 by three high school friends, Aaron Aders, Kevin Bailey and Jeremy Dearringer. The company has grown to include 90 employees and more than 150 clients across the country. The three co-founders remain active and involved in the day-to-day operations of the company.
A University of Notre Dame graduate, Kane begins his new role on Monday, August 15.
